I wanted to create a more wearable version of my winter rose look, with a neutral lip that is daytime appropriate. I’m loving the rose eye trend for winter and have been wearing variations of it over the holidays with cozy outfits and sweaters, since it’s actually very chilly here in Florida! (I know not everyone is thrilled by wearing sweaters, but it’s hot 9-10 months of the year here so we are easily excited lol)
For this look, I used the rose eye liner all along the bottom lash line, getting slightly thicker towards the outer corner. I smudged it with a brush just a bit so it the line didn’t look too precise or harsh. On the top lash line I did a classic black liquid for definition and drama. Bringing in a different color liner on just the bottom lash line is a subtle way to add interest to the eye and bring out eye color, while still keeping the definition with a black or brown on the top lash line. I used the rose balm on the apples of the cheeks(perfect for cold dry weather to add dewiness to the skin) and finished with one of my favorite everyday peachy nude lipsticks mixed with the hydra beauty lip balm to create a moisturizing gloss.
